You’ll remember the panic that ran through the classic sportscar press last summer when David Love’s brakes went out as he rounded Laguna Seca during last year’s Monterey Historics. The car quickly met the wall and suffered an ugly black scar down her passenger side.
I’m happy to report that David took the car to this year’s Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance and it looks wholly restored. Looks perfect.
Sports Car Digest has a wonderful gallery from the event, where Porsche was the featured marque… Check it out.

Good to see it right fit again. I’d hate to laugh but I saw photos of the wreck happening on wreckedexotics.com and the look on his face while he’s going off is priceless. Almost cartoonish. Again, I’d hate to laugh but I can’t feel too sorry for a guy who can afford to own let alone crash a car like that.
David, great job, never forget our time spent together in your 1750 Alfa and the day with my 1932 flathead ford roadster. … David
Edmund : David is not one of Those. He bought the car for a few thousand dollars back when they were discarded unloved junk. He’s been racing it ever since. David is a real person, not a yuppy.
2013–After 50 years with his TR David has said goodbye to it and all of us; ciao Bravo!
