As the once-owner of a 1973 Triumph TR-6 I cannot speak or type that name lest its foul power somehow corrupt my current ride.
I talked with a couple of young (under 30) English engineers working on a high tech project here in Minnesota and mentioned something about the Lucas reliability joke. They honestly did not know what I was talking about.
I have been through a few English cars, I have found I can rely on Lucas, but I wouldn’t touch Magneti Marelli with a ten foot pole.
