Some photos and video from my racing experience with my 1968 ASP Formula Vee MK. III. This orange livery that you see was the result of my earlier 2004 restoration that I wrote about here. The ASP is currently undergoing restoration a second time, taking her back to the glory she deserves.

Looks like great fun! How much to get into something like that?
it varies greatly but as a general ballpark i’d say that you can get a fairly competitive vee for 10k. then there’s the tires, fire suit, trailer, tow vehicle, etc all to consider. all in, it’s still probably one of the most inexpensive ways to go racing. and it’s the perfect time of the year to treat yourself to a racecar.
Tell us more… I’ve been eyeballing Formula Vee for some time now.
i’ll be posting a new update shortly on my latest restoration but let me know if there is anything specific you’d like to know. “Getting Started in Formula Vee” is a great read available from sracing.com. there are many clubs that have schools that will help you prepare to safely go racing. if you live in the midwest, the VSCDA (vscda.org) has a great program in the spring called “Spring Brake” that i recommend.
Great looking car. I had been looking for one a few years back and ended up with a Beach 5c instead.
