Porsche 212??
All Google gives me is the Porsche ski-bob.
Yeah, Capt. Ned.. I noticed that as well. I wasn’t sure if that’s Abarth’s sense of humor coming through, or there’s some mystery other 212 that I don’t know about.
…Or if it was just a typo in the ad.
Maybe that’s the price of the Ski bike which Abarth had a concession for.
For History, in 1961 at the UofI in Champaign, I bought and installed an Abarth exhaust on a Volvo 544. It was heavy and quiet, but looked great. In 1965 I bought and installed an Abarth system on a Jaguar XK140. I still have that car and the system is pristine, I sometimes wonder how much THAT would sell for today, because I would rather go back to stock. It was heavy, but plenty loud. Now we have a 356A which came with an Abarth system. It is plenty loud. The pipes must look puny to modern eyes. Also had a ’75 Alfa Spider 2000 which had an Abarth system. It was quiet. The best sounding Alfa I have heard had a straight pipe all the way back to a simple racket buster that looked exactly like an Abarth twin pipe.
