This Class 11 Beetle is gorgeous and I’d love to see more people racing their Bugs. I still wholeheartedly believe that the VW Type 1 engine is the best engine ever made. There are very few engines that you could tear down and rebuild on the side of the road with hand tools. It’ll run on anything—You could probably pour a bottle of Whiskey in the tank if you were desperate. Just a perfect embodiment of my appreciation for simplicity.

The VW engine was modeled on the America Franklin air-cooled engines. Porsche is given more credit than he deserves.

I inherited from my dad’s beetle back in the 80s. Drove it through college. For some reason i could never give it. Even now that i already have 3 kids a chevy and a cool SUV, i still drive my beetle especially when i am on a road trip with my girls. Life can be soooooo sweet whenever we want to.
this beetle is a complete race car, i don’t see this in normal life, so it’s bit a new thing for me..
